Welcome to the Bebras Australia Computational Thinking Challenge!

This is the Bebras Australia challenge website, for learning resources or practice challenges, please visit digitalcareers.csiro.au/Bebras

Students in Years 3+4 have 60 minutes to complete this challenge, all other students have 45 minutes. A timer in the top, right shows how much time you have left. If you finish all the questions before the timer finishes you can click End, then Yes.

It is possible to work in teams of up to 4 students. The first student will log in and the system will then ask the other team members to log in one by one.

Each challenge has 15 questions with the highest possible score being 135 points.

The Bebras questions have three levels of difficulty: easy, medium and hard. You will find the difficulty level of each question in the overview before you begin.  The level of difficulty of a task determines how it will be scored.

A +6 points 0 points 0 points
B +9 points 0 points 0 points
C +12 points 0 points 0 points

Click the answer that you think is correct and then click Save if requested. A tick will appear beside the question in the left hand column when you move on to the next question. Some questions require that you either write an answer or carry out a function.

You may complete the questions in any order, and you can return to a question and change your answer at any time. If you do not wish to select an answer you may skip the question or use the Erase button to delete an answer.
